We're a community organization dedicated to expanding who's invited to invest and produce within the commercial theatre industry on Broadway and beyond.
Discover our work across two initiatives:

OUR MISSION
ACCESS
To offer existing and potential BIPOC investors, producers, artists & theater-makers opportunities to participate in the financing and producing of projects; fostering more equitable, diverse, and inclusionary representation in the commercial industry of the arts & entertainment.
DISRUPTION
To disrupt and change the opaque norms of the commercial producing industry in NYC (and beyond), as well as distribute power and influence across the field.
SUPPORT
To cultivate and support BIPOC investors and producers as well as BIPOC-led projects and initiatives.
VISION
The organization’s stakeholders will be primarily from BIPOC communities to address the data from the AAPAC Visibility Report: 93.6% of producers on Broadway identified as white in the 2018-19 Broadway season. We're here to respond to this data.
OUR PRINCIPLES
The Industry Standard Group operates on an equitable fund model with major decisions of the funds’ involvement on projects determined by the very membership itself.

The founders of The Industry Standard Group (TISG) and Second Act Theatrical Capital (2ATC) came together in July 2020 through a shared affinity and commonality of often being the only collaborator of color in many producing rooms on Broadway, and they sought to create change by re-imagining the future of theater-making by asking who gets the chance to be a stakeholder in commercial theatre.
TISG was officially announced in October 2020 and they have been building since.
